Nature Conservation Margaret River Region has a clear vision for the Margaret River region – a healthy and biodiverse natural environment supporting the livelihoods and lifestyles on which our community depends. Since 2002 Nature Conservation has worked to design and develop effective and sustainable solutions to key environmental challenges facing the Margaret River region, south-west Australia.

Formerly known as the Cape to Cape Catchments Group, the organisation leverages the strength of the regional community by raising awareness, inspiring commitment and empowering action on behalf of the environment. It does this by combining grassroots community support with sound conservation science and pragmatic policy initiatives.

Nature Conservation is committed to community consultation, collaborative partnerships and an apolitical, results-oriented approach to conservation. It encourages and facilitates community engagement in caring for terrestrial, aquatic and coastal ecosystems essential to the health and resilience of the Margaret River region environment.

Programs include:

  • People for Nature
  • Conserving the Margaret River
  • Caring for Coast
  • Coordinating Weed Control
  • Giant Light Steps
