Margaret River Community Centre

As an independent community-based association, Margaret River Community Centre Inc. provides assistance to and supports people in need by delivering programs, activities and supporting services at the Old Hospital Heritage Precinct, amongst the local heritage, arts and gardens.  The activities and programs which MRCC undertakes and supports will adapt to the changing needs, social justice, personal growth and connections of a diverse community, in order to relieve the poverty, distress and disadvantage experienced by persons in need in our community.

From a little house on Station Rd in 1984, the Community Centre has always provided a welcoming space for all in Margaret River, run by the community for the community. Read more

Staff and Volunteers

Our friendly team of part-time staff look after room bookings, building maintenance and providing emergency relief programs. Volunteers assist in the gardens and prepare Soupie meals. Read more

Gardens and Buildings

We are very proud of the grounds, which include a heritage rose garden and a vegetable garden. The original hospital buildings are State Heritage listed and newer additions all have stories. Read more

Supporting the Arts

Our Art Collection includes works from participants in the original Artist in Residence program and the annual MRSHS and TAFE student exhibitions. Read more
